Kiwami 2 has the quickest turnaround for the whole series in terms of time between Japanese and English release. Only Yakuza 1 and Yakuza Dead Souls come close.

From doing the survey, I feel the localization of Fist of the North Star is pretty much ready to go and they are trying to figure out when to release it in the West. The rest of the year is pretty much stacked with huge releases but early next year might be bit of a wait. I guess it still is a niche title that it shouldn't matter when it drops here.

Besides by the time you're strong enough to do that kind of content in games like this, there's no other challenge to overcome with it so doing it is its own reward people playing FF7 don't kill Ruby Weapon for the Chocobo you get, they do it because it's there

It got a TV advertisement in Japan, which means it’s fairly high profile, and that bodes for an E3 presentation space. Because at the end of the day, Fist of the North Star is still more obscure than Dragon Ball Z and Yakuza isn’t exactly GTA. And I’d imagine they’re still working on the translation, the full title only came out in January/February. I think they’re just much more familiar with the tools so they can crank them out quicker, or getting started earlier. We’re getting Kiwami 2 in summer, let’s hope for Yakuza of the North Star early 2019. That’s my guess.

I'm not sure how you're supposed to beat Jo Amon the right way but it turns out spamming that long distance dragon heat move did the trick alright. Seriously he killed me once because if I touched him normally I'd get blown up. What even was that fight?

Alternately the shield is on an extended timer. I wish the Amon fights felt like meaningful tests of skill and not a cavalcade of increasingly bullshit mechanics.

The one major thing I can criticise 6 for is that it's an absolute crime that they didn't include the NJPW finishers as heat moves, especially since they can use them on you in their respective fights so they're already in the game and look awesome
