Ken Jennings might be a fun premium guest. I love that the all-star Jeopardy champ 1) has an insane streak that probably won’t be bested in Trebek’s remaining years and 2) is personable as hell. You’d expect them to be a huge bookish, touch of the ‘tism nerd and he’s just an intelligent as hell guy who’s funny too.

Last Podcast at least has editing and keeps the bits in check. The Dollop has so many bits that go on for way too long that are either “Gareth’s character says something he wasn’t supposed to say and has to cover” or “Gareth’s character wants to gently caress something” or a combination of the two. There was even an episode I listened to somewhere in the hundred+ range where there’s several minutes of silence while Dave does something with his cat. I don’t think Last Podcast is funny all that often, but it’s entertaining enough and their research more than makes up for it.
