The two old men thing doesn't fit, but just in case, Eraserhead?

It’s going to be loving obscure, but mayyyybe there’s a chance that despite the lovely lack of details will still twig someone’s memory. It’s worked before!

If he's gone through film school, the solution is obvious. Make the movie himself and wait for the copyright suit.

Help me find the name of a UK actor. I think he's Irish. Sort of mangy looking/thin. He played the lead role in a bunch of movies in the mid 90s possibly late 80s where it's Ireland and the whole IRA thing and poo poo is always hosed and he's just running around trying to get by. He's not a hero or anything but he's still the main character. I can't even be sure what the movies are a about but he did a bunch of them and he's always playing a sort of good guy but a very ordinary guy and just not very capable. The guy looks really mangy. Probably in his mid 40s to early 50s.

They were more like a British TV series in quality. While looking through a site of Irish actors I found this picture of Domhnall Gleeson Looks very much like the guy I'm thinking of but in his 40s in the 90s I know his father is an actor but looks nowhere close to him. Here's a weird one, and I don't even know if it's possible, might only be a music request. Years ago, in Media Studies class, we saw a short film, almost like a music video, about some guy who mailed himself to his girlfriend, as he had been away for quite a while. To open up the box, however, she takes a huge knife and plunges it into the top, which ends up stabbing him in the head. Now, I don't actually remember if this was a student film or professionally made, could have been either, but it was really good. Also, it was set to a song by a famous folk musician, don't know if it was Neil Young, Bob Dylan, or whoever, but I believe the song itself was about what was happening (rather, someone made the video based on the story of the song). Help! I specifically remember one shot which was a closeup of the guy's face as he gets stabbed. It's not crazy violent, but slo-mo and a line of blood runs down his face as he stares at the camera.

Multiple movies/episodes like that. It was like a lower budget Snatch minus the comedy. Contemporary 80/90s Britain. Gangster and stuff and certainly the IRA which he may have inadvertently assisted but not because he cared. The girl might have been IRA too.

Trying to remember the name of a character actor. He was never particularly famous, but I remember him having small parts in comedy movies and maybe even a show of his own on either the WB or UPN back in the mid to late 90's. White guy, lanky, tall, short dark hair. Best I can describe him is he kinda looked like a thinner, less goofy-looking version of Harland Williams. For whatever reason, I remember him in a suit. For the life of me, I can't think of his name or anything specific he was in. If he's done any films in the last 10 years or so I'd be surprised. If he has, it's probably like horrible straight-to-DVD comedies or something. Hopefully someone knows who I'm talking about! Edit: I'll probably get suggested Tom Cavanagh. It's not him. Think dorkier / more awkward than Cavanagh. Edit 2: Solved it! It's Anthony Clark. codyclarke fucked around with this message at 10:10 on Apr 20, 2018 |
