Corrode/Serotonin - how’s the parking at Bristol Independent Gaming? I realise I should probably plan where i’m parking if the answer isn’t “at the store”. Also finish my army list. And write my fluff.

I bought a Gorkanaught, which is a poo poo model. I have tried to make it better and am happy with the results, thoughts people: Obviously, still loads of work needed and then the rivets, which will be a weekend job.

I decided to check in on the Blood Angels guys over on Bolter and Chainsword because surely after a few days the meltdown would have at least slowed, right?quote:I've lost more than half my games since the codex dropped. Does my anecdote prove the codex is now dead? No. His point was despite playing in an area that he dominates in, his lack of answers to long range shooting is only going to be exacerbated by the beta rule. Those of us who don't stroll to easy victories are going to be seriously outmatched by a similar style of play. quote:

I've tried it many times and sometimes it actually is a good tactic... yet sometimes it's crippling to wait. It turns out that 10 pages later no, it hasn't even slowed from what I can tell.

The main reason I was thinking about Necrons is that it lets me use quicker techniques. Things like drybrushing metal, zenithal shading, etc. I think based on the response here I will POWER THROUGH with my Primaris.

I’ve lost all of my post-FAQ games, but that’s mostly on me for taking fluffy mono-khorne knives to a Dark Eldar gunfight. Gonna run Tyranids for a bit and scrotum bomb all these delicate sailboats back to their wannabe Planescape city. First step is finally finishing up this Tyrannofex conversion, then painting another bushel of termagants.

Zuul the Cat posted:Nope! I'm only taking a single relic, which is free. You can use the stratagem to take multiple. Aerotech Specialists. If you take 2 it's -1, and if you take 3 it's -3. Forgeworld doesn't matter for this one because the relic is good for any Adeptus Mechanicus Character, it's not forgeworld specific (even though the Relic is). But Cawl already has a relic. I thought you had to pay to add the additional ones. If you didn't have Cawl, then you'd get 1 free relic. I could be wrong on this though.

I think everyone should have an ork army or play as an ork army at least once. I decided to be an ork player in a recent armageddon campaign to flesh out the numbers. By holy gently caress are they some of the best times I ever had playing this game. True, as an army they are at a disadvantage. Its also true that my aim to kit bash Every ork vehicle out of beer cans and cheap kids toys has nearly driven me insane. But it's worth it every dam time I push my kit bashed kill tank up the field and it makes crappy wind up engine sounds (think thoses little toy cars that make engine noise when you push them)

Awesome, thanks both. I will be the guy with two green and white checkerboard wave serpents (running as Ulthwe) and a crimson hunter (unless i manage to finish my hemlock tomorrow in which case who knows). Based on a long experience of going to MTG tournaments with people I know, i look forward to getting paired against you round 1.

Ideally a shape that is nothing like whatever you store your brush water in. If you slap together an army with minimal effort you'll forever regret it whenever you pull the minis out again. At least that's my personal experience. Conversely the stuff I put effort into (even if it's garbage compared to genuinely talented painters) I can still look at today and enjoy.

The closest to nearest painted is world eaters. Not quite sure I've got quite enough time depending on what counts as painted. Although I've only actually got two character models unpainted and even they have base paint on.
