If they sold the labo software digitally, I would definitely buy that piano. But knowing Nintendo, it would still cost 70 dollars plus you have to buy your own cardboard.

Switch has no games chat: My next purchase is Octopath. I'm mildly interested in the single player campaign mentioned in Mario Tennis, but that's probably something I would Gamefly. Although, it's actually kind of worse for me on PS4 as I think my next purchase there is Red Dead 2. (Maybe also Spider Man) I've only got 2 games on my backlog, I'm scared games chat . Hopefully there's some surprises sprinkled in between.Rirse posted:Seems like the only thing they like is loving PUGB these days. Stopped watching them after they completely ignored everything last year instead of it. This is exactly when I stopped watching. On top of that, they started talking seriously about mobas and I got tired of trying to skip around their podcasts.

Elman posted:Maybe $80 toys for kids shouldn't be made of cardboard. How are there so many dumb people who cannot grasp that it includes software, and is going for the same price as every Nintendo game? And that software gives you what you need to be able to make your own custom poo poo on top of that. thexerox123 fucked around with this message at 18:25 on Apr 21, 2018 |

I just put together the motorbike module with my 7 year old and it owns a lot, I hope they patch in support for it to Mario Kart 8. I also encourage developers to make these things so I don't have to pay $100 for some peripheral I'll only use for one game. The idea someone had to make one of these for pinball games is extremely my poo poo. I am so bad at Binding of Isaac, I must have 50+ runs and I still haven't beaten the Mom yet. I have to say it is really a perfect game for Switch handheld tho, it's just a blast and fun to take on the go. If you are like me and never tried it, snag it on the Switch if you can. It is pricey but worth every penny imo.

raditts posted:In the meantime, you could play a good game. Nah Terraria is cool and good, but I hate playing it on PC because I eventually just end up cheating in it to get all the cool poo poo. It'd be nice to have it on a handheld where you can't hack in all the cool poo poo immediately.

Whenever someone goes "Edmund what the gently caress is with you and poop and babies" he writes it off as having a DEEP AND TROUBLED PAST so uh, don't expect to stop infecting his games. Also are kids really the most dangerous thing to Labo?

Labo fishing rod trip report! It took about two hours to put together. It was extremely satisfying, imo, to feel all the parts come together slowly and very charming how they referred to the three parts of the rod as Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear. The most dubious part to me was the reel which felt very flimsy at first but by the end it felt as sturdy as the rest of the build. Some parts were three and even four layers thick. There are exactly enough grommets and washers so don't lose any, but there are two extra rubber bands. There's also an extra piece that makes the rod make its clicky noise (marked with a music note) and I believe one other minor extra piece that I forget. Otherwise everything, and I mean everything is needed. So don't gently caress it up! It really is very clever how they get the string to retract and pull out and it honestly really does feel quite like a real fishing rod, coming from someone who has fished her whole life. I mean, it's obviously a toy, but it's definitely the best toy rod I've ever played with. Don't mock that last sentence. The game is pretty fun! It won't light the world on fire, but it did amuse me for about 45 minutes post-build and I definitely plan to come back to it. I caught quite a few fish, but only shallow water fish. I'll have to play around with it to catch the deeper fish. Again, it really feels like fishing in that you have to jerk the rod to hook the fish that are nibbling or else they just swim away. It really feels like something is pulling on the line, too, but Wii pulled that off in 2006 so that's not too impressive. The impressive thing is that you built it yourself and you know how it all works. I played it with my dad watching and when I got hungry I stopped and then he said he wanted to play which he never says about any video game ever so it has that broad appeal to it too. Overall I'd give the fishing game an 8/10 and the rod a 9/10. Edit: Forgot to say that I do feel the fishing game is a satisfying "reward" for putting the rod together. The game felt "worth it" to me after folding cardboard for two hours to get at it, which I think says a lot. The Lobster fucked around with this message at 21:49 on Apr 21, 2018 |

I think it might be tricky to find cardboard that fits some of the larger projects. Most of the amazon boxes I get are made up of narrow strips of cardboard.

Spellman posted:Everyone falls to the Night Trap eventually I'd actually buy Labo if they had a Night Trap expansion that was just a push-button panel that let you select cameras with labeled buttons and then activate the trap with a big red "TRAP" button. And when you're connected with Labo it's in full-screen mode of course. Well, "full" as in 4:3, nature's true Night Trap aspect ratio.

For games that don't need perfect timing on buttons, they could make a whole panel of buttons to press to control things out of cardboard.

It'd be great for Panic!, another Sega CD "game". But I don't think we'll ever a sequel or re-release of that game because it's more of a curiosity than a proper game.

Is that Mercenaries SaGa bundle any good? I've been playing FF Tactics/Tactics Ogre again on emulators but I'd really like an SRPG (that isn't Disgaea - I like Disgaea but I put ~100 hours into it on PS4 and I can't do the grind again) to burn some time on the bus.
