I'm really enjoying it and looking forward to this. But I do wonder how it'll translate to anime. It is often quite slow (last few chapters for example) and previous adaptions of slower yuri romance has not exactly sold gangbusters even when very well adapted like Aoi Hana which looked gorgeous. Also I hope they cut/change the Maki chapter in adaption

according to some tweet or article I don't remember the source of bloom into you does unheard of numbers for a yuri manga so maybe the show will do well just based on popularity or maybe it'll just need to function as an ad for the manga

Must be a regional thing, then. I've never heard it in my life. This site suggests it's a fairly new coinage. Crunchyroll translations always have turns of phrase in them that sound either made up or extremely inappropriate to me. It's usually just funny, though, so I prefer them that way. Completely unrelated, but I was kind of surprised by the German obsession with romance manga. I recently found out that my local library has an entire wall dedicated to stuff like Citrus and My Little Monster. It's quite convenient, actually. Saves a lot of money. I just assume that the crunchyroll translators were big fans of Flint Hammerhead back in the day. If you find "experimental" translations like those amusing, definitely give that a watch, you can probably find most of the episodes on YT by now. I do have to admit that their 2000s idea of modern vernacular in the future is equal parts hilarious and accurate.
