Obviously it's a game of two halves anyway etc etc, just a bit of a shame I guess. Ironically if Roma could have scored in those opening 20 minutes when they were on top, we go on to score 5 and then concede one I think I'd feel a lot better.

One of those goals was a pen and Liverpool could have been 6/7 goals up had they done better with their chances. Roma looked good for periods but they were sliced open far too easily over and over again. The away leg will obviously be very different but I can still see Liverpool quite easily scoring another 2/3 goals and killing off the tie, especially if Roma defend as badly as they did this time. On the other hand, this is Liverpool so nothing is certain.

We were real good for about 80 mins and I'm confident Roma can't keep a clean sheet in Rome. Gutted for Ox though. That's the season and probably the world cup for him. He's been brilliant too. Three fit central midfielders for the rest of the season is a bit of a worry. Thankfully Milner is a robot, Wijnuldum has hit some great form, and Henderson seems both fit and sharp. If one of them gets injured I'm really not sure what we'd do. TAA in the middle with Clyne and Gomez on the right maybe. Anyway, better think about getting to Kiev.
