Hope that doesn't backfire for him. Florida is a place where everyone needs to learn a healthy respect for any body of water. Good on him if he knows that and progressed that far past his fear, though. I moved to Oregon years ago, and I still don't feel comfortable just standing around freshwater without an extra bit of awareness. The ever-present gators, venomous snakes, prions (when swimming), and mosquito-borne illnesses will do that. Saltwater seems less dangerous, or at least no more dangerous than elsewhere.

I was surprised at first when everyone was freaking out about the existence of alligators at Disney World. If you live here, it's just a given that alligators live around and in freshwater, especially in swampy areas. When I lived in St Pete, there was a lake across from a trailer park for snowbirds. Those gators ate so well on small dogs.

It would be good if the ruling was going to take effect immediately, but the judge delayed it 90 days to give Trump Admin a chance to justify their decision in a memo.

We are probably going to get a bunch of AZ08 vote totals dumped on us within a few minutes. There appears to be no needles or fancy maps because no one believes the Republican will lose, but the margin will still be interesting in this extremely old, white district.

Before anyone gets too excited about the DACA ruling, Trump is losing only because he and his lawyers are still stubbornly insisting on using one of the only idiotic arguments that could possibly lose in court. ("DACA was illegal, so we can't continue it, the law requires us to end it." Courts: "uhhh.... no its not, Obama didn't break the law.")

At any time they could use any one of many different policy arguments that would be more acceptable to the courts, given the level of deference they would give for this.

The vast majority of the vote is expected to be in and counted as early votes and mail-ins. According to Decision Desk, there's less than 20,000 or so election day votes expected that need to be counted. So, the election is basically over unless the Dem won the election day vote by an utterly absurd margin.

The Mastered Mind

The final margin will almost certainly be close to R+6, given the extreme proportion of early ballot votes to Election Day votes in AZ (one of the few things we do right) and how they have historically trended to match party and ID.

This is (another) warning shot across the bow for the GOP in November.
