Regarding ham bone as a stock, am I the only person who makes their own brodo? Just boil up a chicken carcass with old vegetables, boil for an hour or two with some seasoning, remove the solids and you've got the perfect accompaniment for tortellini or ravioli.

Hey, I didn't say anything about the quality of it. I haven't had it in a while, mind you, but I remember liking creamed corn a lot back when I was a kid. Corn cups are a thing here in Bulgaria, you see vendors with them out on the streets quite often. In the fall they mix it up by offering roast chestnuts as well.
