Acquiring a lot of types of evidence would be piss easy if you could get people to think about where they put stuff or where they were if you need to break their alibi.

I mean, if you knew for a fact someone was lying you could continue to pressure them "on a hunch", ask leading questions to get them to trip up and whatnot. Even if "i read his mind" isn't admissible in court, you could make it work
