The sunk ships list in the intel screen has a weird relationship to the fog of war. I raided Truk in March 43 and sank the battleship Hyuga, which showed up in multiple combat reports in different phases over a day or two as Hyuga. The intel screen claimed it as Musashi. In the 6+ months since then, Musashi has been seen a handful of times elsewhere, still operational. The sunk ships list in the intel screen still shows Musashi as having been sunk at Truk in March and doesn't list Hyuga.

In all seriousness, "fog of war" means the sunk ships list is inaccurate for anything within the last 365 days. If the Iowa is missing, that's because the report was withdrawn for whatever reason. She might re-enter the list once the sinking is finally confirmed, or she'll stay off and that means we didn't kill her the first time.

Hey folks! I kinda dropped off on this thread, I was about a thousand posts behind. I think I missed most of March and all of April. Did anything noteworthy happen while I wasn't paying attention? e. Ha ha ha, I went back and read the beginning of April

What japan needs are submersible battleships. Imagine the Yamato rising up out of the water within guns range of the harbor and then slipping away as the planes arrive. There's probably already an anime about this though.

   Guys, the aim is to SINK a hundred ships, not lose them!  The Raiders enter Milne bay, I come to feast on your steely innards.  Oh yeah, that's the stuff!  It's interesting, there are never any troops in these ships. Just equipment.  It's obvious, the training camps can't keep up with the factories.  We hold off the Banshees again.  We get a hit in on a destroyer.   Even their bombardment missions somehow goes wrong.  They have a carrier on station as well.   We are well on our way with the sinkings now!  It's a shame about my ships, but really all I care about is it's not 12/100.

  Good morning Truk!  I would like to remind everyone we need at least three kills a day to make our target.  The carriers do their part.  Another oiler is left burning.  Bloody Spitfires!  I'm not a fan of Thunderbolts either!  Another day of heavy plane losses.  17/100
