Yeah no, sorry. A month ago this list was two dudes (and it's missing two off the scroll even now). If I see the inside of a catacombs, or a sap vat facility, or a goddamn, motherfucking son of a bitch dolmen ever again, I may just get homicidal.

Also one of the people missing is named Experience Sieje.

BUT THEY WILL
How are the crates awarded? Is it based on how much exp you gained or how many event eligible quests you completed? Or something else?

I did a bunch of writs and dolmens during the anniversary event but when I logged on today I only had 1 crate to open.

Was there a different event that I missed? Haven't been on that much the last couple of weeks.

ESO+ members would get a crate for each day they logged in during the event, to a max of 6.

It's really jarring coming from WoW and being limited to 5 abilities on your bar at any one time, and 10 at max. I suspect this is to accommodate consoles, but it's a bit frustrating having to manually switch out abilities depending on what you need at any given moment.

That makes sense. Are the end game rotations constant weapon swapping or is it the type of thing where you値l have a lot of active buffs or whatever you throw on with one weapon set and have your main damage rotation with your other action bar? Because even in WoW, rotations were very rarely more than 5 main buttons

Really depends on the class, my stamsorc I have 2 different timings in my rotation to keep buffs/aoe/dots up, every 15 seconds I use 6 abilities (one of which is a spam that I use 3-4 times depending) and every 30 seconds add one more to that; on the flip side, my petsorc is lol push 3 buttons every 20-30 seconds and one other spam style.

v-- I guess i forgot, light attacks between everything to animation cancel. With heavy attacks later for harder vet mode or trial fights.

Also light attacks should be automatic once you initiate combat with a target. Holding down left click for heavy attacks can remain since they're situational based on whether or not you need more resources. There is no reason for someone to have to be spam clicking while performing their rotation for a 5 minute encounter.

Synthwave Crusader

Magblade dps is all about maximizing your light attack weave and firing off as many Spectral Bow procs as you can during the rotation.

Start slowly, making sure you throw in a light attack after every single skill. Once you're sure you can do it without thinking, gradually increase your speed.

BuffTimers2 and Grim Focus Counter are your best friends for managing your Merciless Resolve timing.

I like ESO, and I can do the weaves OK, but I don't figure I'm ever going to reach hypothetical max DPS weaving capability. Making every game into Street Fighter/Tekken combo memorization is kinda dumb.

Luckily the game is completely interesting and fun not going optimal. I have a single-target tanking bar with ice staff and an AoE DPS bar with lightning staff, and that suits me just fine

generally i do something like across 10 abilities do 1 utility skill (buffs, shields that either provide passives or situational use) on each bar, 1 self-heal on one of the bars, back bar full of DoTs as I'll be spending the least amount of time on it, then front bar fill out the rest with dots, execute abilities, or 1 direct damage spammable

DoTs are mostly standardized these days so you have kind of a window of roughly ~15 seconds for each rotation

some classes/builds have less ability real estate than others, meaning you may need to fill up both bars with the same ability because its a toggle leaving you with only really like 3-5 abilities youll actually be using at a time. some classes are as simple as just arranging your rotation order from 1, 2, 3, etc and go down the list swap, 1,2,3, etc. then others revolve around a lot of juggling (like wardens wonky delayed abilities). of course this is for when everything is ideally stationary and going fine, most real fights will have you getting knocked around, needing to reposition or roll dodge, block, that kind of stuff

that's for a full on boss rotation though, trash clearing really just is as simple as throw down 1 (or 2) dots and then just use a single spammable to clear them up

Would a DK duel wield be on the more or less complex side of things for end game to start learning the rotations and stuff?

Beefeater

I would say less since a) their rotation tends to incorporate a lot of heavy attacks on the dual wield bar due to slotting Molton Armaments and b) they don't have any execute skills that would change up their skill order. I have both a stamina Nightblade and a DK and I find that the DK's rotation is far simpler. It's constantly applying DoTs and weaving heavy/light attacks perpetually in the same order.

Just gotta do things in PvP. Zerg surfing for a few days will get you to 10 way faster than you might expect, but it will require some deaths if your zerg gets killed, etc.

Or, you could come with us whenever we start PvPing regularly again, and get in in a couple nights of (typically) successful fights.

Whats the most convenient city to park a dedicated crafter? I need bank, crafting station for all trade skills and the delivery crates for writs results close together. Bonus points if the stable is close too. Even more bonus points if there is a not too expensive house around for a free port.

I'm using Riften right now and its quite good in that regard. Only negative is that the stable is annoyingly far away and the house is not really on the cheap side.

Vivec is literally all of these things in a four second walk at most from each other. If you own Morrowind you even get a free house there. The Summerset capitol city is even more compactly useful.

Rawl'kha in Reaper's March is my favorite容verything's close together, plus it has some of the best/most competitive guild traders. Only downsides are that it's always crowded and THEE WOOD ELF KNOWN AS FINNEDRIN HAS BEEN FOUND GILTY FOR THEE FOLLOWING CRIMES.

I've been playing Alcast's Pet Sorcerer build, which necessitates two bars because of the required abilities (Aegis and Familiar) on both bars, but I've found it pretty easy to get used to -- at least, after a period of adjustment. It helps that the rotation is simple enough that I can just face-roll through the abilities and, by the time I finish the final Heavy Attack, I'm ready to reapply the dots and Familiar and Daedric Prey have both exploded. I tried playing the non-pet variety for a bit, but it was a lot harder to keep up with Fragments procs and make sure that my dots had maximum uptime, and I felt like my DPS was lower overall as a result.

Orv posted:

Yeah, I hang out in Vivec pretty much all the time for crafting/banking purposes. Admittedly, it helps that I came back to the game post-Morrowind and thus I was thrust into Vivec pretty much immediately, allowing me to get comfortable with the layout of the town compared to other possible locations.

Speaking of which, since the last character I played was AD prior to Morrowind being released, Vulkhel Guard can get hosed. Beyond everything being way too spread out, the stupid NPC feeling the need to comment on every turn-in I do makes me just want to Dark Brotherhood him.
