A lowkey important fact about this event is that since it's a damage check that demands you use the event CEs, it means running crit teams isn't very easy at all because you don't have 2030s, Maidens or anything of the sort so you have two run two people with IMs or whatever to feed most critters the stars they need (or use plugsuit to bring in a golden carp carrier if you're using Lalter). I think Arts teams are the best ones for this event for this reason? They care way less about critting due to how consistent Tamamo/Waver teams are and can defend themselves better from Ibaraki's NPs so they're less on a clock compared to most other teams. Crit teams also have the problem we were discussing a page or so ago, that crit damage up skills are weak in this event because of the way they stack with the event CEs. I think the ideal damage strategy would be a Quick NP spam team, but those can be a bit tricky to put together.

honestly there's no easily-assembled team that can smoke Ibaraki. They all require some level of whaling or luck snagging good SSRs because not being able to pick your CEs is a huge blow to any kind of teamcomp, and a twentyfold increase in HP from your average berserker (6m vs 300k) is just not compensated by a 450% (or 550% with MLB Mahavairocana) damage boost.

Many thanks to all the folks who gave advice and friended this newbie. Finally finished all the missions and only have the Darius quest left to complete. I must say that this event seems extremely newbie friendly. Was enjoyable with some challenge and got lots of loot for it.

It's a crossover event with probably the most 'mainstream' popular thing the franchise ever did before F/GO itself, so it being newbie friendly is pretty intentional.

I find it incredible that I've been running Reservoir EX almost exclusively for over a week and have managed to get all of two Snake Gems while snagging a Demon Heart pretty much every other run. I DON'T NEED HEARTS! I NEED GEMS!
