Thanks for the chicken, I loved it so much. It was the only pleasure I ever knew.

The use of such eloquently flowery language to relate the tale of pissing on his brother in a fast food shitter is as much a part of the story as any other facet.

I can't read this in any way except Cornelius Bear regaling Teodor with an incident between Lyle and Todd at the Mud Scow, of Todd in a hurry and amped up on meth attempting to use the same urinal as Lyle from his perch atop the nearest stall divider.

There is no true content to this post but I just found all 3 dark horse hardcovers while on vacation in Calgary and I am experiencing what must be the emotion doctors have described to me as euphoria

God drat I wish he'd continued making them. The extra content was icing on the cake, but even just having the strips accessible in hardcover was so nice.

Yeah, I'm glad i was able to find mine on ebay one day. They really are nice to have. You can get high, sit in a comfortable chair, and read.

I imagine it probably has more to do with the fact Dark Horse didn't sell as many as they would have liked, so they bailed on future volumes. Who would have guessed a niche medium-brow webcomic wouldn't have as much popularity draw as internationally known sci-fi franchises?

I keep thinking one day that I will put together, for myself, a leather bound, hard back, high quality collection of the strips, alt text, with the blogs and such interspaced in chronological order of the strips.

Hell, I'd settle for a print on demand version. Most of them have hardcover available, and even if it's a little higher cost than a standard publisher because of the low volume I'd still jump at it.

I wouldn't even need books if I could just get high-res digital versions of all the old strips. It'd be nice to go back and read them without having to squint at something made to be comfortable on a 800x600 monitor. Some of the aliasing gets really ugly too, like on Beef's euthanasia sign.

Ctrl +Mousewhee will zoom in and out on most things in Windows. Won’t fix the low res but at least your atrophied old man eyes will be able to read it.

The strip was a prime candidate for being done completely in vector graphics, and it would have made reproduction/digital display at any scale easy as heck.
