I don't doubt that some intergender matches can be really good, but I do think that they have a fair amount of baggage to overcome and that I wouldn't trust a promotion like WWE to handle them consistently well. I mean, WWE is run by a man who once booked himself to batter his real life daughter on PPV.

I think a lot of the baggage you are talking about is exacerbated by the fact that in the wrestling business the men are seen/perceived/pushed as strong athletes, and the women are seen/perceived/pushed as pretty dolls.

I saw about 3 minutes of Minoru Suzuki and Kana, and felt ill. I have seen a couple of decent indie shows but anything where the men deal lots of offence makes me queasy.
