I would have thought law enforcement agencies were competent enough to be able to make a while loop in autohotkey if they are trying to keep hardware unlocked, but maybe I should take comfort in the fact that they apparently are not

a physical device for keeping it awake keeps them from having to install software or alter the system state more significantly which probably helps avoid evidence tampering claims and works on multiple platforms

and if its plug and go or whatever it makes it real easy to just slap on and roll. i might be remembering wrong, but i thought they used something like that for when they busted ross ulbricht of bitcoin silk road fame because he was logged in to his laptop at a public library or something

yeah, they defeated his laptop encryption by staging a scene that let them pull him away while it was unlocked and then attached some sort of device that prevented it from going back to sleep
