And they only mentioned her first name, so it might have been a different Leah.

Or maybe thanks to the efforts of Voyager's Doctor, Geordi was able to marry the hologram after all.

Geordi alluded to it in an alternate future that didn't happen. The one where Picard had space Alzheimer's.

Where do you think the space irish come from? Instead of shipping unwanted babies to orphanages, they just ship them off to nowhere colonies.

Unwanted pregnancies are probably not as big a deal on an Earth where nobody is born into poverty, everyone has unfettered access to contraception and sex ed, and religious institutions hold no real power to brainwash people into ignorance and shame about their own bodies.

I think this is what happened. In that Voyager future episode Geordi was a starship captain and the running theme is that captains have no time for family. That is unless you can end program every now and then.

DS9 mentioned that everyone gets a monthly injection that allows them to bang all they want without worrying about pregnancy.

Edit: Although now that I think about it it may be just be men that get it since Sisko forgot his and that's how Kasidy ended up pregnant.

Kasidy wasn't in starfleet though, and the bajorans certainly wouldn't be pushing that on aliens.

Of course the sensible thing would be for everyone to just get their fallopian tubes or vas deferens sealed and later have them regenerated when they want to have kids. With 24th century technology it wouldn't be an invasive procedure at all, and would be easily reversed. But that isn't what the show is about.

Do you suppose federation ladies still have to deal with menstruation? Do they go to sick bay on the 22nd day of their cycle and just have the uterine lining routinely beamed out before it sheds? Or are they still shoving wads of sythacotton up their hoohas?

The Doctor does an emergency birth by transport in one episode of Voyager. I'm sure there's some amount of risk for the reason they don't just always do that.

Nah. It was more that it was an already-traumatic birth, and beaming it out was too much stress for the baby.

Diktator Janeway needs a private dining room away from the underlings, unlike other Starfleet captains. And presumably with a one-way window so she can watch and listen in on their conversations.

Doesn't look like it, but Nomad's got nothing on the "Blinking tubes without function:" http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/inconsistencies/reused_props_misc.htm

Even Captain Picard on a Galaxy-class starship didn't have "private dining quarters".

I realized i forgot most of what happens in TNG and am rewatching it. Some things are funny in retrospect like during the cold open to Angel One where the matriarchal society has an attitude and acts like they don't want an away team to come down and Geordi is like "Ever get the feeling you aren't wanted?" since he is the expert on women telling him to gently caress off apparently.

Also they prove that transporters kill you when that energy being beams Picard into space. They just use an older teleport pattern and go "This Picard is from before he beamed out so he won't be all hosed up from hanging out in space losing his mind in an energy cloud"

One of the Titan books has something about Andorians dying out because they aren't having enough sex or something and their solution is to make transporter clones of themselves ala Riker.
