I've never heard of this drama, but my hot take is that saying "retarded" is v bad, and if someone did they should apologize and strive to understand why you shouldn't use that word, even "ironically" or casually. On the other hand, this guy is obnoxious and he seems more excited about taking someone down a peg for being cool and popular, rather than actually caring about ableist language (which is real and bad). Like MonsieurChoc said, he is literally a SJW in every sense of those words. It's hard to believe that someone can create so much output that is an obvious attention/ego/reputation booster but still pretend it's a crusade for the voiceless.
