Meanwhile, there are massive anti-corruption protests happening in all major Russian cities. They are not quite as massive as the ones in Armenia, but OMON clearly can't disperse them that easily.

We're also providing our findings to the International Court of Justice case of Ukraine vs Russia, so it'll be an interesting test of open source information. The full report has loads more information and details, hopefully have that out this week.

OddObserver posted:Correction: there never was cooperation, US wasn't interested. What did get suspended was the investigation in Manafort, which may have helped indirectly, by making him choose between cooperating, risking going to US jail, and risking going to a Ukrainian jail. I stand corrected. US Media reported Trump traded weapons with Ukraine in exchange they stop cooperating with Mueller> Their only interest would prison time for Manafort.

День Победы is once again upon us, and Kremlin watchers around the globe tune in to see what will go wrong and what new terrifying death machine the Russians will try to show off. Things to watch for: - To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Red Army, there will be Bolsheviki reenactor columns, not just the usual WWII reenactors. It will be interesting to see how these are addressed, as recently there has been some trends towards identifying the Russian linage with the Whites. - Kinzhal hypersonic missile, two were shown off in the Rehearsal, these are a big new propaganda piece but many are skeptical. It seems just like a Aircraft lunched cruise-missile. - SU-57s will apparently also make appearances in the flyby. - The wildcard: Something catches on fire.

A Pale Horse posted:Lol to Americans everything outside of America, and maybe western Europe, is just one giant third world blob and they can't be arsed to learn facts about the third world blob because ultimately, who cares? (not Americans) Hey there are around 200 countries in the world, plus about 40 autonomous territories. And to be honest, most of them never come up in the news, or only when some natural disaster befalls them. Generally you can make do with just placing the G20 countries and the dozen-or-so crisis countries that the media are talking a lot about. So what it means is that if a country is neither a great-to-medium power with enough economic clout to have cultural exports and therefore enter popular culture; nor a country ravaged by civil war, terrorism, and/or generally being on the US's shitlist of countries they really really want to bomb (like Saddam's Iraq, Gaddafi's Libya, Iran, or North Korea), then you'll get to be never talked about and no one will know where it is. Plus one must admit some countries are trying to be confusing. I mean just look at the four Guineas.
