It really loving bugs me that they keep mentioning "mouthwatering spice blends". Spice blends by their nature are not mouthwatering unless they're made of dried tannins and salt. They really need a different adjective. Also scrap the entire piece of poo poo.

I have no interest in defending this terrible, terrible product but something can be mouthwatering in that thinking of it induces salivation.

There's a .txt on my desktop from like a year ago where I drunkenly wrote down the exact idea for that spice mixer. Sober I realized it was insanely dumb, but drat I could be scamming people out of crowdfunding dollars right now. At least mine had toasting/grinding the spices as part of the main draw.

I have 50 clams my parents brought back from Chincoteague. They were picked Saturday so I’d like to use them tomorrow. I was thinking I’d use about half doing a garlic butter linguini. Ideas for the rest?

Coconut milk, lots of turmeric, curry leaves, and a tarka. Maybe some tamarind. Serve over lemon rice.

Got my free "American Heart and Soul" box of spice mixes from Penzeys yesterday. These things are absolutely awesome and legit, and it came with an extra sample packet of their curry spice mix that I used immediately and it beats the pants off of any curry powder I've ever used before. It's no wonder they were so popular when they ran the giveaway.

I don't know about at the casinos but I know that the liquor dispenser in my room in Puerto Vallarta last fall owned bones.

I’m lucky enough to be able to visit Penzeys in Pittsburgh and it’s beautiful there. I highly recommend their hot chocolate mix.

The only liquor dispensers in casinos are ladies in skimpy outfits that give out free drinks to gamblers. There are a few bars that have those in-table taps for people to pour their own, but they're not super popular (surprise surprise, ten tables means ten times as much line to (not) clean compared to just having a bartender).

Oh yeah, that makes sense it'd be there. And it's what, a block from the Primantis in the Strip? Nice. What's the deal with the cured meat though? We just have spices at the one here.

I’ve never seen cured meats in Penzeys. I was last there about two months ago I’d say. Penn Mac has a shitload of amazing cured meats though.

Speaking of Penzey's, they just tonight launched killer freebies with free shipping at $15. Genuinely have no clue how they stay in business

I have no idea what their profit margin is, but their spices are usually cheaper than grocery store McCormick's in addition to being way stronger and better

Anyone have good thoughts for onion/garlic replacements? Turns out my partner has a big sensitivity to everything in that family, but gently caress me so many things have onions, garlic, or both as pretty key components and I'm hoping some other people have tips on this front.

Dates, nuts, honey, sprouted grains, and dried fruit in the food processor, then press into a sheet pan and cut into bars or cubes. Add some cocoa powder to make them a little less moist.

Is it allergies is or is it fodmaps (where no dairy, booze or sugar should be consumed also). E: If no diagnosis maybe get checked for that. Home made granola, anything chocolate brownie, if you have a dehydrator Veggie Chips are amazing, drink mix powders (pinapple Crush is my favorite, but iced tea, lemonade, grape drink and fruit punch is always good, oh, and those MIO energy drops are great). Pringles.
