FRIGHT NIGHT is out in the UK through Eureka in a really nice release. It's a 4k restoration as well and it's likely that Shout! will just use the same transfer. I hope they put out THE BLOB though, it deserves a full release.

Of course I need a region free one for the main room first, so it might just be a while. Not to mention my roommate is still using a SD TV/DVD/VCR combo in her room.

How's the blu for Luther the Geek? I love the Troma DVD of it, not sure if it's worth double dipping on that title tho. I can't believe VS is releasing Dead Dudes in the House too. I bought that movie years ago in another Troma boxset. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000AM6OD0/sr=1-2-catcorr/qid=1527185313/ref=olp_product_details?_encoding=UTF8&me=&qid=1527185313&sr=1-2-catcorr

New transfer from the negative according to VS too. Not sure what the existing Umbrella blu uses, but knowing VS's quality it'll probably be a step up. Looking at Star Time and Sweet Sweet back's in the sale, and depending whether the secret titles pique my interest or not, Pigs and Christmas Evil. It kicks off at 2pm local time for me, so I'm pretty #blessed

Dolomite, Petey Wheatstraw, and Disco Godfather are all solid. I was kind of mixed on Candy Tangerine Man, but it has its moments and the blu comes with a second blaxploitation flick called Lady Cocoa. Haven’t watched that one yet, though. Everyone should buy Christmas Evil.

VS sale is live. Secret titles are Deadly Daphne's Revenge and Pets. Pulled the trigger on Deadly Daphne's Revenge, because it sounds rad (it also isn't being re-released after this run) but Pets doesn't interest me at all. Also snagged Sweet Sweetback's, Dolemite, Christmas Evil, and Star Time. edit: I also think I was the first purchase of the sale because the site didn't collapse in a flaming wreck like it has with all the other sales. Pets is great, but it's wildly offensive and definitely not for everyone. I bought that plus Deadly Daphne's Revenge (more Troma is always good, please release a Blu-ray for Girls School Screamers) and the Blood Beat slipcover edition. I'm sure I'll do another order before the end of the weekend.

Yeah, I snagged Pets and DDR, plus the half-way package, but the site was crashing and burning the whole time, so I'll wait until later to see what else I need. I might just wait for the next sales, when my finances will be a more forgiving of buying more movies. The half-way package is totally worth it, I wish that they would do a first-half package on Black Friday since it's easier to swallow at that time of year than the full year package.

I don’t really want Deadly Daphne’s Revenge, but I’m tempted to get it just because it’s limited edition. I never heard of it so I don’t know if it’s worth the blind buy. I don’t know, I might actually like it. Decisions, decisions.
