I take a lot of photos of cosplayers at conventions here in the PNW. Here's a link to my Flickr page.

There's non-cosplay albums in there too, but the con ones are labeled easily to find.

'Startocaster' is more fun to say than I expected.

This started out like some weird homage to the fight scene in "They Live" Then Stan Lee/John Carpenter comes out of nowhere. Love it.

Because it was Australia (I assume), I half expected it to end with a hearty handshake and a hug. I guess it was close enough.

Looks like it's at a showgrounds and not a convention, and lama/alpaca costume contests are really popular for some reason

Remember this guy who built a full Iron Man costume out of steel plates?

Snowglobe of Doom posted:

A dude in Australia made a full Iron Man costume so he could visit kids in hospital and cheer them up. It's got all the lights, a mouth control in the helmet that lifts the visor, a voice changer that automatically starts when the visor closes and a few more tricks. Here he is at a Starlight foundation charity fundraiser where he walked around in the suit for 3 hours:

Oh and he made the suit out of steel, it weighs 37kg (81.5 lbs)

It took him 3 years to finish the project, he had to go on a crazy crash diet earlier this year because he'd put on some weight and he didn't fit in the suit any more. :v:

His current project is a full scale Mk2 Colonial Viper starfighter from Battlestar Galactica:

I don't have low self-esteem. I have low esteem for everyone else.
So I'm not sure who on this thread is familiar enough with Steven Universe and it's characters (likely all of you because it's a cosplay thread), but my girlfriend and I are thinking about going as Yellow and Blue Diamonds for Halloween. I have friends who do cosplay and they usually pay to have their costumes done for them by someone else. Could anyone point me in the direction of some good resources for someone living in the New England area? And how much would this cost for each of us, roughly speaking? (we'd be paying for our own costumes individually)
