also I looked at some footage and it looked kinda bland? The environments all looked the same and everything was just kind of drab.

never heard of this game but that is a good dog

The load times are a little long and it does sometimes hitch.
The levels are deffo uninspired but the meat of the game is unlocking spells and making a build that works fpr you.

I made a loadout that I thought was perfect and ignored everything I unlocked. Don't do that. Try everything. You want to shoot a little fireball OR toss out bait that aggros enemies and summons a giant ice shark?

Bombermen were robots made for mining, forced to fight and one fought out of a mine. Then they're like, just normal citizens? So that was cool. Then our hero went out into space and dealt with space pirates and knights and demons and angels. It's unclear how much of this takes place how long from each other game or if Bomberman is the same from each.
