the ds had a bit of a rocky start like the 3ds and this was the big savior, and was the reason the wii early on was focused on 'casuals' and made bazillions of dollars

lol I saw that when I was looking at weird nintendo peripherals yesterday. It was $30 and came with a GBA cart that doubled the DS's ram (and that's the only software that ever used it)
