The 11% drop is obviously explained by National Iced Tea Day -- iced tea is a very popular beverage and so the weak hands are trading their BTC for fiat to stock up on iced tea. The selling pressure is only temporary and the price is due to rise over the next week as the very large community of cryptoenthusiasts prepare to gift Bitcoin for Father's Day next week.

Tashilicious posted:Coincheck got hacked, thats the sudden drop. That exchange has 3m a day in volume and has nothing to do with anything. It’s just a typical drop due to something or other, eventually followed by an equally large number go up because something or other. Now that it’s not obviously in the parabolic stage of a bubble or a parabolic decline, the market is easier to manipulate and less predictable. Dogpiling on AARO for an obvious poorly written rhetorical statement is pretty stupid but since Cardano is going to zero sooner or later a meltdown was inevitable anyway.

I haven't read this thread since January but has anyone ITT realized how bad it is that bitcoin went from like 21k to 6.5k in less than a year? Someone had to buy coins in the downward market and lose a bunch of money because idiots won't stop talking about how cyptocurreny is somehow an amazing investment vehicle for very smart forward thinking individuals.

But you only lose money when you sell !! Because bad investments must always go back up, that's just basic market cycles.

Burt Sexual posted:Is aaro banned? His av still show up for me. Then got mocked at for it, posted a failed goatse banme thread which he had to lock since people were still dunking on him, then finally made an autoban tagged thread. Autobans still keep the goon's avatar intact instead of the BANNED BY ADMIN one. Appearing as if he never got banned. Do what will you will with this information.

AARO has somewhat of a point because most CP is distributed non-commercially like any other illegal digital good. The Urban Institute put out a paper estimating the size of the underground sex economy (348 page PDF). Here's a long excerpt from the section on child pornography:quote:Cost

A group of hackers has stolen over $20 million worth of Ethereum from Ethereum-based apps and mining rigs, Chinese cyber-security firm Qihoo 360 Netlab reported today. The cause of these thefts is Ethereum software applications that have been configured to expose an RPC [Remote Procedure Call] interface on port 8545. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/hackers-stole-over-20-million-from-misconfigured-ethereum-clients/
