going back as far as to Morrowind a big part of Bethesda designing spaces has been to put an interesting hook or something in most places, even if it's just notes by a skeleton or told by the weird loot in an area.

Anyway, no matter how equitable the microtransaction model may end up being, playing a Bethesda game for the combat model remains the equivalent of watching porn for the story.

And yes, I recognize many, many stupid people do in fact do that.

Wait - you didn't buy Playboy for the articles then? Oh.

What I enjoy most in Bethesda games is the exploration, as they are fairly good at building interesting worlds. This game will likely have it in spades but will otherwise probably feel quite empty since there'll be no one else around.

Boys it's almost like this game set in the Fallout universe is not in fact a traditional mainline Fallout game but instead something new they are trying with the leftover development resources they have well a TES game is being made.

Naw, it's definitely the future of Fallout and they will never make another traditional Fallout game again.

From now on every game gets a "NOT A MAINLINE GAME" stamp because that means you are not allowed to say anything negative about it.

The next Dark Souls game is a Farmville reskin and it took five years to make? Well, what did you expect from a NONMAINLINE GAME (TM)

I mean that's entirely fine, if it's a bad game then it's a bad game. But people are in here complaining that this isn't Fallout 5 when it never sold itself as such and clearly meant to be a openworld survival game with your buds.

Who are you actually talking about here, other than possibly steinrokkan? I don't think there's anyone else in this thread who hasn't expressed an appreciation of at least one of 3, NV or 4, and I haven't seen a single person other than steinrokkan who isn't thrilled with Fallout 76 compare what we "know" about it to 1 or 2 instead of 3, NV or 4.

I'm disappointed Fallout 76 didn't turn out to be more like 3 and NV. I hope the people who like Rust-likes enjoy Fallout 76, but personally I don't think it was an interesting direction to take things.
