SMP #35 had a tire asplode on them

Powershift

They should really run it like the 24 hour of nurburgring where the cars just just take off onto the local roads and drive back to the pits.

Having a broken shitbox limping down mulsanne with cars closing on them at 300kph is just dumb.

Not mechanics running down the side of a dark race track with tools to bolt a wheel back on dumb, but still pretty dumb.

That replacement rear on the SMP 35 just now is from the Algarve Pro car.

Little early to be out of parts.

And as I type this it gets worse for SMP, 17 in the wall.

It's a Dallara, not an Oreca.

Although weirdly, despite the fact that was Algarve Pro painted, the 25 is a Ligier.

Yeah, it's one of the things the nurburgring does better. Hell it's generally safer I'd wager.

Was that 3rd place lmp2that just dissapeared into the barrier backwards?
I have russian commentary. I do not speak russian. Because my tv provider dropped signal to all channels so i don't have like 3 sets of commentators to choose from :(

I'm a big fan of the camera work during the night for the last few years; the team ACO hires for this are really upping themselves every, but I'm especially liking the in-curb camera at what I think is the Arnage corner, along with the new higher-up-further-away camera angle on that corner that I believe is new too.

I remember seeing some images of the production from a few years ago, that I saved - so here they are:

On the up side, there are probably nice big inspection windows to see exactly what broke.

The loader should just find a dumpster to stick it in.

BTW, question to the people in the know: in many GT3 series, I see teams paint two spokes of their rims (for example red, or yellow...whatever). In ADAC GT masters, all teams do it, so I can only assume it's mandatory. What's this for? Because I see couple of GTE cars in LeMans doing the same.

We Mark the valve stems that way so they are easy to identify when the whole wheel is just a glowing heat bucket colored in whatever is left of the brake pads and you have to fight that hell to find the valves with your chief breathing down your neck
