every Nintendo first party game has loot boxes in it but you can't pay for them which is wildly annoying. XBC2 does it and I've spent a hundred+ hours grinding gear in Splatoon 2 to get the optimal loadout that's 2% better that you can just toggle yourself when you're playing locally. They should just leave that poo poo for fire emblem phone games
