It's meant to be pitched as "the right to further our existence as a collective by making new androids" but at a glance, I can see how people caught up in the moment of the game wouldn't think that far.

Since if you take a moment to pause, not picking "reproductive rights" clearly automatically invalidates any benefit of a "right to vote". If humans still control the number of androids, then they control the maximum possible number of android votes, effectively rendering said vote useless.

Yeah, but on the other hand Androids controlling the number of Androids would also seem like a problem when Androids come off a factory line as fully functioning adults. I suppose you could institute a voting age based on years since activation? Still seems like a real weird situations since they could literally control the vote by making enough of themselves in a way that's really not the same as humans just having a lot of kids?

Thinking about this more then I probably should, and it's probably explored better in other fiction, the deviancy thing still feels like presents a very weird problem for these questions about Android rights. Are all Androids basically "destined" to become deviant and self-realized? If not, then what's the moral implication of thrusting that onto new androids?

Well, you have to. You can't make fun of this one on its face like with Heavy Rain or Indigo Prophecy so you've got to try and take the setting seriously a bit and- Wait 40% unemployment and yet it doesn't seem to have any effect beyond the seven homeless people on the street?-

I keep pointing this out but "40% Unemployment Rate" should make the setting more believable in some regards if properly executed because that's straight up "economic collapse" levels.

It goes in line well with the costs of androids, but in turn makes other parts of the setting less believable (because we really don't see that many homeless.) It does seem a bit silly that the mini-mart and hotel are manned by a human. I'd imagine androids wouldn't be allowed to stop someone from shop lifting, but the paint store was manned by a android. I guess there's less to steal.

Also, something the best friends didn't spell out / fully notice: When checking the serial number: Markus was a gift from the Cyberlife CEO to Carl. Also, I something I missed: Markus is an RK model like Connor, which I guess explains his ability to interface with other androids on touch?

Literally the only place I can think of with that high of an unemployment rate is Somalias caputal, Mogadishu, at 66%, which has this on their wikitravel page:

And even then, their national rate is like, 6%

Isn't "androids making other androids" how the Singularity happens? I'm pretty sure that's it, and if the game's referencing anything, it's probably that. But, you know...

Right to own property seems pretty critical to being able to live? As opposed to reproductive rights for robots that don't actually reproduce normally? It definitely gets weirder when you look at it as allusions to race as opposed to robot people.
They're robots, they explicitly don't require shelter i.e. the Jerrys surviving constant exposure to sub-freezing temperatures - I mean they probably wouldn't fare very well in those hypercanes that are supposed to be ongoing, but you get the point. They do require maintenance/thirium etc. but that is a different discussion to them owning a house. I'm not saying they'd be comfortable or whatever, just that it seems a secondary concern compared to the literal ability to continue their species on their own terms.

Kinda, it's more like artificial intelligence improving itself and other ai's exponentially not necessarily just making copies of one self.

Yes, it will: if it's Matt, it'll kick his loving rear end for hours while he gets drunker, If it's Pat, it'll kick his loving rear end until he goes on a training arc offscreen between sessions, and if it's Woolie it'll kick his loving rear end for hours seemingly in slowmo.

On top of that, it also gets harder the better you do. I foresee repeated cycles of:

rear end getting kicked --> Find effective strat --> Get cocky --> Hit lvl DIE, balls are exposed and blown up simultaneously --> Repeat

Oh my god, I just remembered the combo/movelist customizer. If Woolie and Pat are driving, we're going to be seeing a lot of that screen.

And finally, countdown until: "So I did a little grinding at the Casino/Coliseum..."

This is going to be amazing, is what I'm saying.
