I wouldn't have guessed it, yet am still not surprised. I wonder if Abby pushed for it or if everyone weighed in-- not that it really matters how it came to be, tbh. GB is just typically so unpolitical, so it's a weird feeling I'm not used to. I mean in the current climate they've started talking a bit more about it, which seems understandable tho I'm Canadian and don't pay much attn to politics in my own country let alone America so  fuckin lol tho. The feature seemed absolutely harmless. I haven't watched either ep yet

It's not even about politics, it was a completely harmless video series like the spooky game stuff they did last year. And GB as a site was born from saying "nah gently caress you" and going solo whether that worked out or not and was super refreshing to see at the time. Maybe it was entirely internal but I seriously doubt the internet didn't play a significant role in the decision

It was probably pressure from these commenters because there's hundreds of comments bitching about it, and I haven't seen that much vitriol since dan had the audacity to have fun playing a mario party game.
