I believe Ms game plan for the election is to carry the corpse also known as Alliansen to the election, quietly push it down the stairs as a mercy kill and then form the main party of a coalition as the least offensive party to collaborate with.

That said, smaller parties typically gain in elections compared to polls due to higher visibility levels. Lib should be safe, but won’t do a great election. A party that should be concerned is MP who dances on the limit and have a history of having higher polls than election results.

 Moderates are continuing their free-fall. We're officially in Batra territory and there's no indication things are stopping anytime soon. Novus is only slightly better than the average of PollofPolls with M at 19.8%.

As for the polls, the curious thing is that C doesn’t clearly gain anything and mostly SD seems to pick up the voters. S drop in polls seems to have stopped for now. Which is a trend different from Batras polls. I guess one explanation would be that the original beats the copy ie if you go SD light why not pick the real thing? But this is just hand waving with no actual basis. I guess the SD light approach would have worked better when SD was a smaller party with less support in the polls. On that matter: I don’t think people realize how SD have been professionalized the last election period, which they have gone through without the usual number of scandals. My local municipal newspaper asked the parties about their politics on local issues and one consistent thing about SD was how they answered in rather elaborate statements and with more detail than other smaller parties. As both S&M have long known, there are people who join parties as a career step without having any form of explicit ideological basis, and given SDs size it was only a question of time this happened. This professionalisation seems to coincide with SD making inroads amongst the voters who question where their tax money is going, which is a group more inclined to vote M, while not being core M voters. In any case, I would say we are in uncharted territory (beware of dragons) with respect to the election.
