Yeah, I think the lack of atmosphere is what does it. we are so used to seeing the slight distortion from air that the perfect clarity of space is a bit weird. Also that spacewalk seems scary as gently caress, going that far untethered must take giant balls of steel

In space you're either getting blasted by full strength direct sunlight or in the pitch dark.
