My dad was in Almedalen just for the day on Sunday (work stuff) and on the way back he was completely alone on the plane. Like, it was he, and the aircrew, that's it. That's honestly the only nice thing I'll hear about this year's Almedalen. Seriously; we're drawing attention to Holocaust deniers. For gently caress'S sake, people. I'm reading history at Uppsala and this past spring the great Nazi-expert Heléne Lööw graded my essay on the refugee crisis of 1938. She always had great anecdotes and I would love to hear her take on these past few days.

Nazis (the disorganized 200 or so of them) are completely ostracized from society and this is the only way they can make themselves heard. Meanwhile you can be extreme left ( including convictions) and still make a career within media and public society. As has been regularly shown, the left have no problems voicing their opinions on the net.

As far as I have understood from the the reporting, this is a failure of the police in not being able to contain the nazis by not being there and being stupid in not realizing that putting nazis next to LGBT is going to be trouble. Gee, and here I thought V did their best to outlaw profits on private schools? Too bad there was not a parliamentary majority for it. As for the economic parts, since V is the best you get in forms of socialism in Sweden, I would say there is a certain lack of people wanting to vote for something like that. But feel free to start a new party on that. We are a democracy after all, with all the pros and cons.
