I've been going through them over the past six or so month myself, watching one every few weeks. Octopussy is the next one I have to watch.

From Russia With Love or Spy Who Loved Me is the best so far IMO, with Goldfinger in a strong third place.

From Russia With Love is the best espionage movie, Goldfinger is the best Bond movie.

I remember in You Only Live Twice (which has the best Bond song btw), Bond goes to Japan. He goes to a sauna with his Japanese liaison, who says, “In Japan, men come first, and women second.”

Bond replies, “I just might retire here.”

They’re sometimes fun but quite dumb movies. And that includes the recent ones.

Yeah they're schlocky as hell. That movie also has the bizarre plotline of Bond having to disguise himself as an Asian man.

Also the script was written by Roald Dahl of all people, wtf.

Roald Dahl and Ian Fleming were both involved in espionage at one point. Also Christopher Lee was Ian Fleming's cousin and the original choice for Dr. No.

I do enjoy Bond :D My favourite Bond is Timothy Dalton (I call him TDalts) and my favourite Bond movies are For Your Eyes Only, From Russia With Love, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, License to Kill and Skyfall.

I remember a magazine thing when I was younger, I don't think it was the n64 goldeneye guide, it was something that talked about the n64 goldeneye though because it also brought up the various bond actors and there was some actor listed as the potential "future" of bond once brosnan was done, saying this guy was training to be the next bond or to be a special bond for video game purposes.

I have no clue what magazine that was or the article or anything, though I also remember it having some bond escape sequence comic parody at the start where a secret agent is strapped to a table with a laser beam pointed between his legs and you were supposed to figure out how he saves himself and the answer was that he would piss himself so that the laser would reflect off of the piss, destroying the machine and giving him ample amount of time to escape from his restraints.

Memories are weird.

The most salient Christopher Lee fact I remember (besides his work as a spoken-word vocalist for a heavy metal album) was that in Lord of the Rings when Peter Jackson tried to direct him on how to act when getting stabbed, Lee was like "I know what sound a man makes when he gets knifed in the back"

Also apparently the villain role was offered to David Bowie but Bowie passed on it because he figured they'd need a stuntman for him more than for Bowie proper.

the best part of never say never again is that it opens with m telling bond "that's it. that's enough. you're too loving old. you need to go on a healthy diet of greens and vegetables, bond. you're old now"

As far as "fake Bond movies" go there's also the 1954 Casino Royale which was a made for TV movie where Stuart Ullman from The Shining plays an American Bond and Peter Lorre is the villain, and also the 1967 Casino Royale which was a parody movie.

I decided to embark on a grand tour of Antigravity Racing games, which I firmly believe to be the absolute best racing games. Nothing feels better than mastering brutal tracks at supersonic speeds. F-Zero and Wipeout were gifts from God, and anything that captures the same feeling is good in my book.

First up is Redout, made by a bunch of Europeans. Redout has a unique “low-poly” look that is very pretty, and best of all can actually run at max settings on my very mediocre pc. The speed is amazing, the soundtrack is excellent mix of electronic music, and the game allows you to use the same control scheme as F-Zero GX, making it very easy to pick up and play. I recommend immediately switching to the F-Zero control scheme, as the default set up doesn’t feel right.

Redout kicks rear end. It’s amazing.

Next on my list is Antigravitor. I hope my PC can handle it, but if not I will have to get it on PS4. Antigravitor looks badass, so I’m excited to try it. After that, I plan on playing Fast RMX. I’ve seen FRMX before and played it with a friend, so I know it’s drat good.

After that I am going to raise my gamecube from its tomb and play F-Zero GX again. I had to cheat and get a special memory card with everything unlocked for GX because the way you unlock everything is far too difficult for me to ever do.

did you hang out with the friend? the more reserved endings are pretty low-key but the ending where you hang out with your friend's friend is probably the best one to end on cause it just ends on you awkwardly talking about being gay in the hot springs together and then afterwards you both go out for a night on the town. i think it actually makes for a better ending than the world is kind

casino royale 1967 legit is my favorite bond movie because outside of like a couple i find most of bond pretty dull, but casino royale is just one of the most surreal messes i've ever seen and it's kind of endlessly funny to think back on. there are not a lot of movies that feel as much of a mashup of directing styles and a couple oddly prescient gags in a movie that is otherwise completely irrelevant to what it's trying to spoof

casino royale has a scene where peter sellers gets trapped in a fog room in orson welles' basement and assaulted by bagpipe players before a half-naked woman murders him with a tommy gun and then a guy descends in an elevator and shoots orson welles through a camera monitor somehow

also peter sellers and orson welles have a big rivalry but none of their scenes filmed them both together, they were all cut together with recordings of both people at different times and the only shot that has both of their characters in the same scene is using a peter sellers stand-in

The best Bond movies are Goldeneye and The World Is Not Enough because they're the right mix of serious and fun. Piers Brosnan was hands down the best Bond and I'll duel in License To Kill-Pistols Only mode anyone who says otherwise :colbert:

In Oblivion news I finished the Thieves Guild line. That final quest is a fun concept but I got really frustrated by how long it took to get done. The dungeon leading up to the palace dragged and dragged and then I had to reload a bunch inside the palace cause I getting busted for doing stuff I didn't realise would get me caught. How are the monks meant to know I stole a book? They're blind!

I'm gonna be blunt and say I don't understand why we should be worried about this at all since all the psychiatrist does is prescribe the meds depending on how we're doing and the info they get from the therapist since they operate out of the same building.

We're so intertwined with one another that separating us would just create a lot of problems since KCB helps me get through my issues and I help her with getting through her issues and the therapist and psychiatrist both agree that keeping us in the loop is a good thing since it means we can create plans and tackle them together, so when there's something I need to be working on, KCB knows what that is and we can spend the session figuring out how best for her to help with that, or vice versa.

Like, I can understand this being an issue if this were a scenario like how when I was younger, I'd be in therapy and have my mother there as well and that meant I never actually got any help because my mother was the source of my problems and I couldn't very well say that while she was in the room with me, but with KCB and I, we're like each others' support structures and we've grown together in such a way that even though we are two humans so broken that we can't even hold ourselves up, we've managed to work together crippled master style to get through life.
