You sort of have to feel for them, needing to put together big matches but having to protect top guys. I mean the work rate will be fine but I only really enjoy a match if I can entertain it going a different way than I expect

Thinking about it a little more, it'll be a really great match I'm sure, but it's actually a match NJPW could book pretty easily, just by having Scurll start punching above his weight class, like Devitt did once (which might already be happening, he seems to be setting up a feud with Tanahashi?). I kinda wish Okada could be wrestling somebody that's not from NJPW, the more I think about it. What about Okada vs. Penta? That woulda been pretty cool. ...is Riddle announced? I think I've been taking it for granted that he is but now that I think about it I dunno.

Okada/Penta would kick rear end. He's doing a couple shows for CMLL now too, so there's a chance we'd see him around New Japan in the future. I really wish they'd done that actually. The Jr. Heavyweight division is interesting right now because it feels like there's about six guys who could conceivably go for the NEVER title. I think Marty is on that list, even though I don't like him much. Riddle isn't on it as far as I know. Janela is, you might be thinking about him.

Summary of the end of the NOVA Pro main event, Homicide vs Wheeler Yuta that I typed up so I’m gonna paste here: Homicide brutalized Yuta’s penis and scrotum to get the pin then he tried to hang him with a belt and when the locker room ran out to save Yuta, Homicide got one of those giant ball carts (since the show was in the JCC gym) and started hurling basketballs at everyone. It owned.

The crowd wanted a dodgeball match suddenly, and it would've been amazing. Fun card from top to bottom. The semi-main, Arik Royal vs Tracy Williams, was my personal favorite, if only because I enjoy power vs technical matchups and they put on a show powerful enough that I think the crowd just sort of assumed it was the main. And THEN Homicide showed up.

yeah as someone who thinks adam thornstowe is kind of a tool i was surprised at how much i enjoyed that tag match i would say that match and king/dragon lee were the standouts but nothing that's worth going out of your way to see tbh. solid show but nothing above like, 3 3/4* for me.
