i bought hollow knight and okami and i'm seven hours into hollow knight now and i've only died challenging the super version of a boss. i beat him on my fourth try though after i beat that i'll play okami. i'll probably finish up with both games around the time yakuza 0 releases

Me and my best friend in elementary school used to get on the phone and watch Bond movies on TBS with the sound off and dub our own dialog over it and it was always the most hilarious poo poo ever. We did it to other stuff but Bond movies were always full of weird, out there stuff so the non sequiturs were way funnier. But in general, yeah Bond movies are misogynistic garbage disguised as spy adventures.

1967 casino royale is the best bond movie because it's about how james bond is actually voluntarily celebate and his entire character is that some people try to gently caress him and he just awkwardly walks away from them every time and then he disappears for the rest of the movie

I bought some weird poo poo this Steam sale, like I Am Alive which has a lot of neat ideas for a very early post-apocalyptic action/survival game even if they're not that well executed upon. I like all the gun pointing that can end in just walking away, at least.

no one lives forever has some good ideas but its writing isn't great, there's a huge chunk in the middle that's really boring and the random guard conversations have more interesting and funny characterization than half of the main antagonists, and the whole end reveal kind of cheapens the early game focus on workplace sexism cause all of the characters guilty of it just turn out to be secret terrorists i don't like alpha protocol either though so maybe i just don't like spy stories in general that much

the artstyle paper mario uses borrows a lot from super mario world and yoshi's island. mario in particular has a lot of animations that are near identical to how he looks as small mario in super mario world

NOLF hasn't aged well, being released in a post Half Life world where people hadn't figured out how to balance shooting and storytelling, but it's characters and world building are still leagues ahead of every other FPS even now. And it sucks there will never be another one when people have learned how to make singleplayer FPS games fun again. Contract JACK ditched everything and made it a straight shooter but that game is baaaaaaaaaaaaad. I have the script for NOLF3 right here it says "20 years later it's the 80s and Kate and her ninja wife Isako must stop a plot that will end the cold war in nuclear winter *joy division blares over the speakers*"
