I love moonlit long exposures, they come out looking so sharp and have lots of room to play with shadows.

The hard part is the white balance debate. Go with something super blue and try to replicate what the human eye sees, or do what you did. Both have some good arguments.

It kind of gives the effect of having used a giant flash or something.

Yeah, I didn't know snow existed in Edinburgh either but here we are (circa earlier this year).

That particular bit was on the Water of Leith pathway between Stockbridge and Dean Village.

Thanks, it was my second visit to that spot. Had taken a bunch of vaired photos but nothing felt right. Only when I got them on my PC and tried different crops I found the right one. So the next day, went back, took that one and that's pretty much straight out of the camera (Sigma 30mm).

Is Hope a well known town because I just sorta assumed it was a nothing place with a notable name. Also yes, that is Hope.
