I'm coming back to the game as MR11 after a year-long hiatus and I kind of don't know what to do. I have all junctions done, the last quest I did was Second Dream. I think my MO when I quit was to mow down missions with Rhino Prime and a modded out Ignis Wraith. I've pretty much forgotten everything about this game but I want something compelling to do. I've never touched Plains of Eidolon, is that worth doing?

You’re in the exact same boat I was in when I got back into this a few weeks ago, only with a nicer gun. I’d definitely do The War Within quest first thing since its quick and easy and it unlocks a new area/resource needed for some crafting and a very important game mechanic for PoE content.

I'm just starting out, and three times now I've encountered quests (so far only in the Plains on Earth) where I get to the end, the last step is "Get to the Extraction Point," I run into the Extraction Point, and nothing happens. Is this a common issue? Is there something I can do to avoid it?

EDIT: It's starting to seem like as long as I run/walk into the zone instead of jumping around like a robo-space-ninja, it doesn't break as often. Is that really an issue?

You may be going to the wrong extraction point. For rescue missions you need to escort the captive to "extraction", but that doesn't mean the MAP'S extraction, it means to go to the mission marker.

Plains bounty rescues have you defuse a bomb collar and then escort a dude to a specified point on the map (not the big Cetus doors). Your rescue target actually has to reach the extraction area, so it can take a little time for them to wander over. Normal rescue missions on the star chart have you head to the mission extraction point but don't actually need the target to get there, just be alive when you extract.

Basically, pay attention to the waypoints the game is giving you, and your minimap in general, as they are massively important tools to maintain situational awareness.

Are you doing the Saya's Vigil quests? For whatever reason those have different extraction points than the regular ol' hallway to Cetus, but instead have you extract from a spot on the plains marked with a green extraction point like any other mission. This isn't the first time I've heard of the quest's extraction points breaking though so I'm assuming you aren't dumb and are trying to extract from the correct spot; you might wanna go report that on their forums or see if it's already been reported.

I started playing today. This is a lot of fun.

I get the sense that a significant fraction of your capability is derived from how fluidly and precisely you can space ninja around. I'm still haphazardly careening around like a drunk sugar glider, but it already feels like there's virtually no limit to your mobility in this game.

Pub groups have been fun so far, but I have so. many. questions, so I applied for Goon Clan :sun:

As a new player you have choices to make there. You should keep parts for things you don't have, prime means better (mostly) and if anything new gear means more mastery rank. But if you do want to sell things for ducats, and you definitely do, then you want to sell things that aren't vaulted. That's vague and, much like a lot of this game at first glance, completely indecipherable to new players. You can look up lists online, I think the wiki has one and no doubt there are others that are easier to read. But you can take a look at the relics that you've been getting, get kinda familiar with their drop table, and then know that rare stuff you've never seen drop is either rare or vaulted. If it's for older frames or weapons, again also probably hard to tell for a new player, then there's a decent chance it's vaulted stuff. Everything else, all the currently unvaulted stuff, you have plenty of time to get those components again if you're going to keep playing with any regularity. Stuff doesn't get vaulted all that often, so sell current things, new relic item, stuff you can get from onslaught or plains bounties or any mission reward really.

This helped thanks. It looks like I have a couple of vaulted things (Frost Prime Blueprint, 2 Nekros Prime Pieces). I'll plan on selling most things I can farm again after I see what is available.

Progressing along with unlocking stuff is going well. Did The Enemy Within today so I guess I'll have to figure out wtf is up with Amps and the PoE. Was trying to keep pushing onwards but finally ran into missions that were kicking my rear end trying to unlock the Mot map in the Void to do The Harrow quest. At least its level 40-45 stuff.

Been soloing them, guess I might try pubbing it or maybe getting goon help tomorrow.

Had my first experience of pubbie rage doing a survival mission from a dude angry that we weren't all looking to go an hour. He also started bitching out someone for having a weak loadout when they wanted to extract after 10 minutes.

We couldn't have gone an hour even if we wanted to, just getting to 20 was a stretch.

There's some prime stuff that's never been and never will be vaulted: Braton, Orthos, Paris, Burston, Fang, Lex, Bronco & Akbronco. So once you've built all of those you can safely swap them for ducs because they're common so the plat market prices are fairly low.

For everything else there's a mobile app called Ducat or Plat which can quickly show you whether something is worth selling for plat or keeping for ducs. Though be warned that it's not always accurate so double-check the duc value.

There is an app on Android called ducats or plat that lists every items ducat and plat value and shows the ratio of ducats to plat. Also https://tenno.zone/pricing

They were being an idiot. There's no good reason to stay past 20 because the rewards reset to tier 1 but the enemies levels keep rising. Same with defence round 20 and interception round 4.

If you want to face high level enemies and see how long you can keep surviving, play onslaught.

Yes, don't upgrade the damaged versions though. Ask in clan chat for undamaged copies.

For weapons you want to prioritise basic damage, multishot and elemental. For frames the key mods are health, armor, energy, duration, efficiency, range and strength.

Duration on loki is good if you want to be invisible all the time.
