Rick and Morty was on point seasons 3 and 4 when they got some female writers and started obliquely highlighting what a truly terrible person Rick is. Seasons 1 and 2 still showed that he was bad, but it was more "LOL - look at what a bad guy Rick is, but it's funny!" The newer seasons are more aware of the fact that he's really a monster and is destroying the lives of his family. Pickle Rick was a good episode, but the Internet dorks are celebrating it for the wrong reason.

i like rick and morty. my favorite part is the end of the episode where rick gets dumped by the alien hivemind and he goes into a depression. they use a neat piano song to good effect. then after the credits you see it from morty's perspective and rick looks like a pathetic dork too bad they apparently treat their animator like poo poo (its literally just one person right?)
