I think the most distressing thing about this for the heroes is that yeah, Endeavor won in the end, but it took everything he had just to beat a nomu. We don't know how many nomu the League of Villains have, how many they have that are as strong as High End, or even how long it took them to make High End.

The current #1 hero almost died fighting a thing they just make in a factory.

To be fair the Nomu's tend to be tougher then most of the normal members for the most part. High End was also much stronger then any other Nomu.

As far as we know. High End's very existence raises the disturbing possibility of mass-produced villains that surpass the Number 1 Hero in power, or of even more refined Nomus with even more devastating Quirk combinations. That's both out-of- and in-universe, so that's likely to come up as yet another fear in an already fragile society due to All Might's retirement.

It's a terrifying situation, and considering Dabi's comments, I have no doubt that even the League of Villains saw High End as merely a prototype for something even greater, even deadlier. A Higher End would basically be unstoppable beyond another 100% Full Cowl moment.

They kinda do it, but not in the exact, weirdly meme-ish way it is in the manga.

i read it more as cynicism about what the anime might do rather than basing off anything that actually happened, since it wasn't in response to or mentionimg any examples

The weird thing is, I haven't heard a peep about the Rurouni Kenshin guy getting his series back.

The latest chapter showed up on Mangastream with a "Sorry I kept you waiting, guys!"-message from the author, like he'd been sick instead of convicted for possession of child pornography.

Tumblr only cares about its ships. Guy could have murdered all of the worlds children in a blood sacrifice to Dagon and Tumblr wouldn't care if they don't make a series without two teenage boys that makes them go 'they should hold hands uwu"

MHA has a bigger and more active fandom in the West so there will be more vocal outrage over things that people don't like from it than from other series doing worse poo poo.

I also feel like MHA has gotten a bit of a reputation as being better about a bunch of common Shonen flaws than a lot of its contemporaries (though I don't think that's exactly the case), so when it does stumble at something a lot more noise is kicked up because people are expecting it to be better.
