These "nobodies" aren't really retarded like Jimmy down the street. However, with enough punches to the head they will be and that is much more satisfying than a permanent loss of their head.

Rows of big, beefy, black-clad supersoldiers and nary a carpenter between them, but as time passed the masses accepted The Grovertine. "It ain't pretty or even that sharp, but it gets the job done," they conceded.

ate all the Oreos posted:Y'all want some chicken horror look up "vent pecking" some time. Apparently captive chickens will frequently get it in their heads that it's a good idea to peck at the other chickens' throbbing cloacas right after an egg is laid, to the point where they sometimes peck their guts out through their rear end and then cannibalize them. Weirdly free-range chickens do it more than caged ones, so enjoy that mental image the next time you buy free-range grass-fed eggs at whole foods, yuppies Pecking order is normal but today's chickens are loving crazy so they do it more in tighter areas. I slaughtered a bunch of my sister's friend's bird because they built too small of a pen for them. It was on the 4th of July.

https://www.facebook.com/7NewsBrisbane/videos/2037409999605175/ Don't know how to get an FB video into the forums, but Coles Australia is starting to put out mini shopping collectibles, there are already ebay listings and facebook groups dedicated to collecting. Recently, Coles and other major grocers also banned plastic shopping bags because of environmental concerns, but replaced them with reusable bags which are thicker and last longer, but are still made of plastic and cost 15 cents each.

(Although I use a cotton bag [also sold to me by a major grocer] for shopping and one of those reusable plastic bags for carrying firewood in the Winter because those fuckers are tough.)

I work at a bottlo in Australia and it has had an almost immediate impact. I still think that all the money raised off selling reusable bags should be spent cleaning up beaches and the ocean but I understand that’s crazy. My other idea is that if you ask for a plastic bag I imemdiately put the plastic bag over your head and tape it shut

In fact, of all the shopping bags the study looked at — from paper to recycled plastic — cotton tote bags fared the worst: they need to be reused thousands of times to have the same environmental footprint as a lightweight plastic bag, according to the report." https://www2.mst.dk/Udgiv/publications/2018/02/978-87-93614-73-4.pdf (the actual study from the homepage of the Danish environmental protection agency)

Yeah paper bags are bad too because of the water used in the process. I use an oversized bike messenger backpack that will last the rest of my life.

in places where plastic shopping bags near universally end their lives as garbage bags and littering isn't a problem, trying to force a shift to paper or whatever is straight up counterproductive feel good bullshit

I'm more concerned about plastic waste as well as lovely bags dumping my groceries on the ground so I prefer reusables. I guess when your study ignores the main drawback of disposable plastic bags yeah they seem alright.

the point is that that “main drawback” isn’t an issue at all in some parts of the world, and in those places a switch away from plastic bags is at best meaningless and at worst counterproductive
