Gort posted:Yeah. When British battlecruisers were used on their intended target (enemy cruisers) they performed excellently - check out the WW1 battle of the Falkland Islands. The combination of greater speed than an opponent and greater range than an opponent means you can fight them from outside of their effective range, and they can't escape you. That is a frequent problem I have in world of warships. I have to remember when I'm running a BC and not a BB so I don't get myself blown out of the water. Problem is that BC's are great at being the first big thing the enemy sights, and then starts shooting at.

Oh come on! These buggers actually made a strafing attack! Hence the shell hit! It's one of those days. At this point in the war though, every day should be one of those days! A brutal day for me there, but I don't have many of them! No Yamato on there! Survive!

Easy, now that the Yamato is a sitting duck she can force the decisive battle on terrain dictated by the IJN! Bushido spirit will easily carry the day, I will hear of no naysaying!

Eh, it's fine. It'll buff right out. Funny thing: A lot of the development of the excellent USN damage control designs and doctrine in WWII actually began with them taking an in-depth look at Jutland after WWI, and promptly scrambling to get themselves as many documents, handbooks and former officers from the german navy as they could get their hands on.

Two battleships, a cruiser, and a destroyer travelling at a speed of two knots, it's not much of a battle group. Frankly I'm shocked that all four ships haven't been torpedoed by subs yet.

One of our subs is battered. I can deal with even losses. We continue to lose ships to that carrier task force. I have listened to your pleas for blood. Charnel house is back on, and all who die from here on are on your souls. So I'm bombing the troops as well. I have to say, the bombardment is a lot more one sided now. So much death is coming in Chungking.
