Honestly I don’t give a poo poo who runs. I’m not looking for a perfect candidate and if we vote in the most establishment democrat on the planet I will be happy because that means Trump isn’t there anymore. So yes, a NY or CA Democrat sounds just fine to me. If trump wins 2020 it’s not because we couldn’t find someone to beat him, it’s because we live in a poo poo country and it will just be time to accept that we won’t be going back to normalcy without some type of revolution or overthrow. Seriously we should be able to run an oil painting of a wet bag of poo poo and it should win. I've made a large number of friends with family businesses that have the same mindset, fear of change and uncertainty and hope that this short term pain leads to a better future, while being able to phrase it just slightly better. I don't want a NY/CA establishment democrat either. But we're not going to get one. AOC won't be eligible until 2024, which hopefully means 2028 as presumably there's a democrat in office already in 2020. My hope is that the floodgates open and progressive candidates pop up in 2020. edit: correction, viable progressive candidates.
