I love Gilmore Girls as a guilty pleasure too but yea I'm straight up marathoning it again now and boy does Rory rapidly morph from 'well meaning but way too stressed/depressed kid who needs to open up' to just a real rear end in a top hat being enabled by everyone around her. Like, it's weird how they actually do a good job with Lorelei and her mom as a toxic relationship that they're trying to repair and failing and succeeding at times in different ways, but then Rory and her are just this weird enabling bullshit that no one actually calls out (that isn't quickly reversed or meant to show they're the antagonist or whatever).
