They both have pretty involved progression through the game that I feel is lacking from Slay the Spire as well as tons of hidden/optional content that you just don't see in Slay the Spire. Regardless though I have high hopes for the game since its in early access and clearly has plenty of content to fill out but I'll probably wait until the full release to revisit it.

It's a good concept and I'm keen to check it out again once more content is added, but I had fun for a good 10 or 20 hours with it and only paid I think $6 or something.

Secure the Wastes is a pro finisher and cutting it is bad

So I've played about 5 games on Arena and wow this interface is bad. I just lost a game to it randomly resetting my stops so I couldn't do things in my upkeep, then 2 turns later it reset them again??? there's a button that looks like it's the phase you're in but it's actually the phase you'll go to if you pass, it's impossible to count lands because they're all in one big pile that's really hard to differentiate. This is a lot worse than MTGO, a program I've never had to defend before in my life.

I am going to admit I am not an expert on the deck, and I have been playing her mostly due to the fact I do not own a LoTV. With that being said, she has been solid. She kills big creatures, she ticks up to a range where she usually doesn't die, and ulting her with Bedlam Reveler is amazing. I play her along side one copy of Last Hope Lili over a Mana Morphose or 3rd Terminate / Dreadbore. The best reason to exclude her from your deck is to not have to play a basic Plains. If I had both Lilis I would probably opt for that, but testing could lead me back to Nahiri. In summary, take my opinion of her as a huge grain of salt, but do try her out.

The playfield is boring, most of the cards don't do anything when you play them, and none of the cards that I've seen do anything when you attack with them or use them. These are little things that don't effect gameplay, but do effect fun. The home page and card collection UIs are pretty godawful too. This is a Standard deck, so it isn't nearly as crazy as Legacy or Modern and still every creature does something when it enters play. https://www.mtggoldfish.com/archetype/standard-grixis-virtuoso-midrange#paper DangerDongs fucked around with this message at 04:42 on Jul 30, 2018 |

If you want to play a non-toilet digital card game check out Eternal, they're about to leave beta (no wipe) shortly and they're giving away a shitload of free stuff. If you have Twitch (Amazon) Prime and connect Eternal to your Twitch account you can get 33 boosters, a premium avatar and a cardback in a few days Also if you've connected your Eternal account to Twitch, regardless of Prime status, they're starting to implement free drops for viewers and will do another test run on the DWD stream noon pacific Monday. If you haven't started playing yet, it's free on Steam/Android/iOS and here's a referral code that will get you a free theme deck (and I think maybe also some extra boosters??) once you finish the tutorial.

"but it's only beta!" is a real bad defense of something, especially when the criticism is about things that probably aren't going to improve. Arena is always going to be clunky because they can't change the rules of the game to make digital interactions smooth or intuitive.

I can't tell if he is upset of the card quality of commons having no abilities or if the game doesn't make enough sound effects for him. I don't fully understand, "most of the cards don't do anything when you play them, and none of the cards that I've seen do anything when you attack with them or use them." Why couldn't they add more animations later? I don't get your point.
