The only thing to get a grip on is neo-Nazis who won't let World Peace's cancellation go. I'm surprised Tim Heidecker hasn't been "exposed" yet.

Speaking of, the entire main cast of Gotg just officially threw their weight behind James Gunn, so I look forward to the remaining guardians characters getting killed off in iw2 and replaced with a new cast for daring to cross the mouse.

It's totally possible that Chris Evans or Hemsworth just weren't James Gunn experts(they haven't personally worked with him), and so they didn't know about the offensive stuff he'd said in the past. I don't blame someone for not wanting to be associated with that kind of "comedy".

Yeah even as a proponent of free speech mega bigly, I understand not everyone uses humor to overcome issues. My father died when I was a little boy from cancer. I think cancer is hilarious and made tons of jokes about cancer growing up to try and get over it. I’ve met many people who think my jokes are funny because they too lost someone in a seemingly random and senseless way to health issues, and we can be strong from surviving those traumas and laughing at them. But every once in a while you meet someone whose kid died from leukemia and it’s just not something they can laugh about. That’s not anyone’s fault, we can’t all laugh at our problems. I’m just really grateful to be one of those that can, but I’d never hold it against someone who can’t. We’re seeing a huge influx of lady comedians trying to take ‘rape’ to that level, but so far it’s... uh... growing pains is how I’d classify it. peer posted:I dunno anything about Hemsworth's politics but Evans seems like the definition of naive, well-meaning why-can't-we-all-be-friends democrat Evans is devoutly anti-trump and got into hot water over tweeting about how much he hates Trump and that’s a big part of why he’s stepping down from the role of Cap.

While he's very openly anti-Trump, I don't know if I'd say he's leaving the role because of it. He's been looking for the exit since before Infinity War started shooting, it's come up in interviews a bunch of times over the past several years.

I assume a lot of them are mostly run by PR interns or something. That one clickbait article said Tom Hiddleston unfollowed Gunn, but he quit Twitter over a year ago so I doubt he personally even cares what his account is following.

I just find the importance some people put on twitter and who is following who on twitter to be hilarious. Not just in movies, but any industry where people collaborate on something or have some kind of working relationship. The fuckin drama that occurs when a drag queen unfollows another drag queen sustains my cringe comedy quota for months! And yeah I think plenty high profile actors/etc profiles are usually either run by or at the very least run through their PR people.

It reminds me of the Friends list thing Myspace used to have, where who you put first and last (or not at all) showed how much you "cared" about that person. When I was 14 I knew a friendship was up when he removed me from the close friends list lol.

The fuckin drama that occurs when a drag queen unfollows another drag queen sustains my cringe comedy quota for months! I think in some instances you can figure it out. Chris Evans probably runs his own with all the anti-Trump stuff he's done, since no PR person would ever approve a Twitter being so political. There's a D&D livestream called Critical Role that I watch where the DM is Matt Mercer and all the other players are prominent voice actors like Travis Willingham, Laura Bailey, and Liam O'Brien. It started out as just a friendly game for Liam's birthday that they kept going for a year or two before eventually getting on Geek & Sundry as a livestream. They used to include Orion Acaba (the English voice of Apollo Justice), but after a little over two dozen episodes on Geek & Sundry he suddenly left the show. It took a while for everything to come out, but he had been engaging in some really awful behavior due to drug addiction, an HIV diagnosis, and generally being a kinda crappy guy. I was curious about whether Orion was still their friend and if the separation was a mutual decision with no hard feelings, so I checked Twitter. The entire Critical Role cast follows one another and comments on each other's stuff all the time, since they're all best friends in real life. Not Orion, though. Only two people still had him on there. That was a pretty good way to tell how they felt about him.

I think Chris Evans just desperately wants to move on with his life. At first he was like "hey everyone, I'm balding, see?!?! Can't have a balding Captain America can we?????", and when everyone was like hey whatever man just wear a hairpiece or shave your head who cares he had to move onto something else. But being honest about politics on Twitter isn't working either because Chris Evans is just too nice and basically incapable of offending anyone even when he's trying to.
