The original intent of the game was for things to get increasingly weird and dangerous as you approached the core. I don’t think they ever made that a reality but I’d love to see a better developer tackle the idea. The center being infested with hostile sentinels and increasingly unstable and outright hosed up planets and you needing to basically plan out expeditions in order to establish bases and resupplying lines as you push towards the core would have been fun if sentinel aggression and combat (and space) was anything but impossible.

In my experience, things do start getting weirder the more you progress; I got all three of the special hyperdrive things (is it really true you only need one of them?) and I'm jumping into some pretty weird systems now.

Never saw anything like the floating shiny metal pillar planet or this:

until I left the comfort of the standard yellow star systems.

Just started playing this game. I tried taking a mission on a freighter and suddenly the freighter warped out, and I glitched out into space. My grave is floating in space and I can't interact with it. Any ideas how to get my stuff back?

Infinitely many points, but zero length.
Was digging into the game xml files for modding and noticed this line:

code:
<Property name="NumberOfWarpsRequiredForFreightersToSpawn" value="2" />
So it's 2 warps required for your welfare freighter to spawn for the first time.

Uh oh, I've warped twice and while they appear, they dont seem to be under attack. Is it after the nana and popo ship? Also should I ask nana for atlas path or will that happen naturally? Can you do it and the Artemis path in tandem?

Yes, you only need an Indium drive to be able to warp to any color system.

Live, laugh, kupo!

I found three opulent systems right next to each other, their multitools were two Cs and a B. I should've just grabbed the 23-slot A when I found it but nooooo I had to chase the big boys. I greatly overestimated the likelihood of rich systems having S, or I just have bad luck.

The nomad is a hoverspeeder. 9 minutes 10 seconds on foot is 2 minutes 30 seconds in the nomad.

In the blueprint scanner, you need to purchase the circular room and the door blueprints, and then plop down one of the circular rooms and add a door. You should then be able to place a overseer'er terminal.

Is the overseer dude I hired supposed to actually do something? It just says "I should let the Gek get on with his business" when I talk to him.

Those bases are nice indeed. I spent almost 3 hours on a creative save earlier, found a good spot for a base and got building. The game crashed while I was trying to add a landing pad - all gone. Start again sucker.

They really need to fix this poo poo fast. I'm about ready to give up on it again and I'm sure plenty of others are sick of the bugs/crashing too.

Just throwing it out there, six S-grade movement upgrades are loving godly. Your feet will never touch the ground. Get some with a bonus to initial boost too and just tapping the button will send you up into the sky.

I can't wait for them to fix the rocket boots, it's going to be insane.

I know that putting upgrades next to things is better, but are they supposed to light up green? I have my analyzer surrounded by 2 upgrades and there is no 'green' around the border like there is with my mining laser and it's upgrade.

Hell yeah I found a planet chock full of gravitino balls, fuckoff huge fingers of copper deposits and cacti out the rear end. Sentinels are hostile af but they can easily be avoided. Only bad thing is the weather swings back and forth from freezing cold to boiling hot so hazard protection is virtually always being drained.

Wait when/how do I get hallway parts for my base? I just decided to start the base building quest line, built a cylindrical room (350 pure ferrite survival prices are dumb as gently caress) got my gel bullseye buddy and got the science terminal ready to go but I don’t have any way to connect this room I’m in to the next. I don’t have hallways or ladders.
