Everyone involved in that was fired and the radio station eventually shut down. It was actually called "hold your wee for a Wii" also quote:The Sacramento Bee released audio clips from the morning show indicating that the disc jockeys were aware of the death of Matthew Carrington by water intoxication. At one point, a caller contacted the station and informed the DJs that the contest could be dangerous and potentially fatal.[9] The DJs responded by saying, "We're aware of that," and joked that the contestants had signed releases and couldn't file a lawsuit. You work at a station until your show loses ratings or they change their format or they just get bored with you, then they fire you. You take your tape and your years of experience and that show and get hired somewhere else for more money until they fire you, etc. It's just the expected way to leave a job. There's a guy Howard Stern talks to all the time called Kid Chris (I think) and all Kid Chris talks about is how miserable he is as a disc jockey. He literally can't buy a home for his family because he moves across country every 2 years.
