I drove over that bridge in Waldport last summer and those pictures have me thinking I should have made time to go visit that cape, because it seems insane that people are building houses on what appears to be a sand dune.

How much do they spend a year digging themselves out?

Yeah I guess it was turning back by Adams, although I can't find the exact quote that relates to his aesthetic, compositional choices. He did a lot of interviews and it's probably in one of them though.
