i'm kinda wary to start it because while it looks really really sweet my gaming time is all weird irregularly scheduled chunks and it looks like something that needs a few hours to sink your teeth into

also i rebought minecraft on the switch because of some terrible insomnia and uh all the junk they've added since i last played it like five years ago is super neat. also the mario pack is fantastic and turns chickens into goombas

Actually the beginning of Octopath is pretty good for that cuz each of the eight characters intros dont take up a ton of time individually, no idea about later chapters tho

wasteland 2 is pretty good if you want a more FO1/2 experience. it has turn based isometric party based tactical combat, as well as native americans who live on and maintain train lines

yeah i finally started it

the multiple choice test at the very beginning of the game was really hard in this era of no manuals but i'm pretty sure i picked the correct answer (therion the theff)

i went into it pretty much blind past the art style - it's basically bravely default's battle system, which owns

Indeed. Get the DLC too. Dead Money is...not of the best reputation but is still a good challenge once. Old World Blues is a thing of beauty. People are mixed on The Divide but I liked it.

oh it's been thought of but I guess the fact that it was developed by Obsidian complicates the process because it's not as straightforward to remake the game in a newer engine

'engine' is kind of a misnomer because everyone's always like LOL THEY USE GAMEBRYO FOR EVERYTHING and yeah they do but that really doesn't matter compared to the game engine fraemwrok on top of that

rocksmith uses gamebryo and it is literally the best game of all time

that said theyh're never going to port FO3 to a new engine because as much as i personally really enjoy it it is a janky piece of p**p where a subway is faked by making an npc with a subway car for a head run around, and they're never going to port fonv to a new engine because that has even more kludges in place on top of the base game and they didn't even originally implement it themselves

I've been thinking about getting dragon quest builders because I hear it's minecraft plus japanese action rpg, which sounds pretty fwiggin insane.

I've been playing Tales of the Abyss on the PS2 lately. So far it's pretty good although not as good as Symphonia was, so far.

For the record, I did actually buy Ys VIII, I just haven't gotten around to playing it yet...

Been having a real blast with Celeste. I'm pretty certain already that it'll be my favourite game this year. It's a real tough nut, but unlike a lot of other platformers it never feels frustrating.

my first skyrim character was a wizard, and i took the mage guild questline and then quit in disgust. brilliant game designed absolutely ruined by bethesdas bad writing and voice acting

i later picked it up again and rolled a half naked nord barbarian specializing in two-handed and not much more. then i spent the game running around the countryside and killing nefarious wizards in towers, while avoiding any quests or npc interactions beyond unloading my wizard loot on shopkeepers.

goty 5/5, would thrash evil wizards parties again
